How to Print More for Less
How to Print More for Less
Your HP Ink Cartridge and Canon Ink Cartridge printers all come with this funcionality that can save you a lot of money on your printing costs if you enable it. Now this feature should only beused if you plan on printing text as I don’t recommend it if you are going to be doing a lot of high quality printing.
If you go to your printer properties and go to a tab called print quality this will give you a drop down menu and select either quick draft or draft depending on the printer. What this does is decrease the amount of drops per inch on your page thus decreasing the amount of ink you use. Personally I can’t tell the difference between fast draft and a normal print but then again I do need glasses to see the rugby score sometimes.
There are a number of different, new ink pritners out there all claiming to save you so much money but what they don’t tell you is that the heads on these printers go quite quickly and it is VERY expensive to replace each head. There are normally two head cartridges with two heads on each for the four colours Black, cyan, magenta, and yellow so if one colour goes you have to replace the whole head and they can run you as much as a thousand rand. We can repair these for a LOT less by the way.
Use Laser Printers
I still recommend laser printers if you are going to be doing a lot of printing as you will always get that beautiful shiny finish that you won’t get with inks and you get a kind of paper warping if there is too much ink on a page where the paper is saturated like a page tha thas fallen in water and then dried. Your toner cartridge will always produce a better quality print and we can remanufacture these beautifully. The cost per page on these comes down a lot and laser printers are not as expensive as they used to be and not as big either if you’re just looking for a straight up black mono printer. The best thing to do before purchasing a printer is to check with us first if the cartridge can be refilled or remanufactured yet as it takes about 6 months for us to get the parts when new ranges come out and this could be quite costly for your wallet.
